about the event
The OurPower Summit will be a dynamic, unifying summit for March For Our Lives movement leaders from around the country. Hundreds of student leaders from chapters across the U.S. will come ready to sharpen their knowledge of organizing and issue advocacy to create an action plan to grow, organize, and mobilize their communities around the issue of gun violence. Youth leaders will walk away from the summit energized, united, and ready to do whatever it takes to change our country’s laws and minds -- and ultimately, save lives.
Participants will spend three days in training seminars and interactive workshops sharpening their advocacy skills and building out an action plan. Participants can expect workshops on a wide variety of topics such as event organizing, diversity and inclusion, dealing with internet trolls, building effective coalitions, and more!
There is no registration fee for OurPower! Attendees receive 3 days of training, lodging, meals, workshop supplies, and swag! However, we regret that we are unable to cover transportation costs, so attendees will be responsible for their own travel to/from the Summit. Limited scholarships for travel funds are available upon request. To apply for a scholarship, please click HERE! (Please apply for a scholarship if you would like to be compensated for gas!)
OurPower will take place on July 29-31 at the Houston Airport Marriott in Houston, TX.
